Great grip, comfortable and does make the recoil much softer, have them, on all my ARs. I would have given it it 5 stars but, after I ordered it I found it for $12.00 on another well known retailers site.

Modified rating

I am updating my previous review. I installed a single point sling buffer plate. I also had to cut the tip off to make it flush so the buffer plate will seat properly. It is still a very comfortable grip . But I must drop my rating to a four star because of the modification

Comfortable grip!

Really comfortable grip!! But I had to cut part of the end where it meets the end plate. Other then that Im happy with it. I just wish I didnt have to cut it.

One fatal flaw

I actually love the feel of this grip, it fills out the hand and moves my hand to the back of the weapon putting my index finger at the perfect position to be fully extended and comfortable placing the pad of my finger on the trigger without torquing the grip or finger. The problem with the grip is the backstrap is so soft it falls apart after two trips to the range I contacted ATI told them about the problem, the customer service rep said he would send me out a replacement backstrap and never did. I contacted him again two weeks later and he gave me some cockamamie excuse and sent me out a replacement. The replacement backstrap is already starting to fall apart and I havent even taken it to the range. I purchased another manufactures grips and will be using that one going forward. If ATI makes the grip with a more durable backstrap it would be the perfect grip at least for me and I would purchase another one.
