Of course anything magpul is legit. What i didnt ever realize about these is how every other section is raised a little higher which in return makes for a solid yet very forviving grip. They cut easy for custom sections. As far as the rattle can thing, they serve to protect your nice guns from having to be painted and if you're having to do it just because your rifle stamds out too much from being one color, this is a great way to break up that black silhouette some to prevent being seen. Its not what you want in that scenario however if you're dead set on not rattle canning your rifle then this is the way to go. Thank you Brownells. These come off as exoensive even still you had the best price around!

All of my 10.5" inch uppers are different calibers, 5.56 NATO, 300 BLK & 9mm, so I've arbitrarily assigned BLACK to 5.56 NATO, OD GREEN to the 300, and FLAT DARK EARTH to the 9mm, so I know at a glance which is which, in case the SHTF, ;-) Other than that, these "FIT, SMOOTHS OUT THE RAIL EDGES, & LOOKS GOOD", and it does ALL THAT and they don't break the bank....so give this 5 stars - nuff said!! I just love them!!!
