This was exactly what i needed to add a front grip and light to my DPMS ar-15 w/ stock handgrip. The hardest thing about the install was getting the grip off the rifle. after that i was done in 3 min.
Works just fine on Colt Expanse M4
This product is advertised to work on the bottom handguard and it certainly does perfectly. It has been dehorned of sharp edges and is comfortable to hold while shooting. It is very solid and useful for many additions to the AR15 handguard. One comment is that if 3 shorter screws were sent with the unit, it could be used on the top handguard as well. The protruding screw ends hit the gas tube and so it can't fasten on the top, but just by eyeballing the situation, if the proper length screws were used, it would work as a top rail as well, IMO.
Nice rail
Perfect for adding a fore grip to my Ruger AR-556 without making it too Hollywood. Mounted it to CAR 'Skinny" handguards (Ruger factory handguards have no heat shield) with no problem. Very happy!

Gives just enough rail space for a light and vertical grip. Installs easy and keeps things to a minimum.

I am one of the few out there who isn't trying to make my AR15 look like something from Star Wars. I strive to keep my weapons safe, simple and ready to use. This rail does that for me. I keep my original handguard and now have a foregrip. My only small gripe was that one of the nut-serts was only partially threaded. I had to remove it, place it in a vice and finish threading it. This is why I gave this four stars. And By-the-way, yes it's a bit harder to install on Colt LE6920 but can be done. My Colt is a bit more safe, comfortable, and keeps the original Colt look.
