Buy this!
CMMG pays attention to detail and thinks about the end-user on this product! Not all standard/mil spec triggers made feel the same. This CMMG trigger group is the best feeling mil spec trigger I have ever had experience with! CMMG worked their magic on the contacting surfaces that translated into having a quick snap with no pre-travel or gritty feeling. It's right there at about 5 pounds as if CMMG did a trigger job on it. I would definitely recommend! Those contemplating a trigger upgrade because THEIR mil spec trigger sucks. Go with this first! Perfect with JP Enterprise trigger springs.
Great trigger set
Fits perfect, works Great. Can't complain.
A good military type trigger group
As with all mil spec triggers, it has about a 6+ lb. trigger pull and length of travel. I discarded the standard springs and replace the springs with Brownells reduced power spring kit, resulting in about a 3.5 - 4 lb. trigger pull. (and NO FTFs) I also used a pistol grip screw with an internal adjustment screw (non Brownell) to reduce the trigger length of pull. New springs and screw adjuster works just as well as a Gisselle custom trigger. Another tip, if you install many of these: there are also custom installation-assist pins on the market that help with alignment of the lower receiver holes for the trigger/hammer pins, and they work great.
It's a Combat Trigger
I have used this trigger before in one of their parts kits and had no issues so I bought one for my new build and a spare. CMMG is a name that says quality if you have ever owned one of their rifles. If you expect a match trigger, buy one. This is a Combat Trigger, Period.
WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK
Run from buying this!!! I bought this to replace a S@W sport trigger which is 10 times better than this piece of junk. It had a defect which ran across the face which contacted the hammer, also it was unfinished it was like rubbing two 200 grit sand papers together. Took it out with out even shooting it once, and replace it with a WMD Nickel Boron trigger, well worth it! If I could I'd get my money back from brownells.
Out of spec, fires on release of trigger
Installed this CMMG trigger kit in a Daniel Defense and the hammer would fire when pulling the trigger and also on releasing the trigger (verifying reset and disconnector function). Tried the kit in another lower with the same results. Not worth the delay in getting a refund or replacement. This one might be a lemon, but I can not recommend it. I am Colt trained Armorer with 20+ years Military & LE experience. Not going to modify parts when they should work correctly out of the package. Don't waste your time or money on this poor quality trigger kit!
