MBUS® FLIP-UP REAR SIGHT FOR AR-15 Reviews & Ratings

The MBUS (Magpul® Back-Up Sight) is a low-cost, color injection molded, folding back-up sight. The dual aperture MBUS Rear Sight is adjustable for windage and fits most 1913 Picatinny rail equipped weapons, but is specifically tailored to the AR15 / M16 platform.

Protective wings shield the dual, same plane flip apertures
Sight can still be folded with either large or small aperture in position
Detent knob easily and positively adjusts windage
Impact-resistant polymer construction provides light weight and resists operational abuse
Detent and spring pressure keeps sight erect but allows for unobstructed folding under impact, etc.
Clamps to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny/STANAG 4694 receiver rail and provides the same height-over-bore as standard A2 irons

Fully Functional for All my AR platforms

Great add-on for all my AR platforms. Ambidextrous deployment and closing makes for easy operation with either thumb. I usually use with large aperture mode for easy, quick target acquisition. With advent of new alternate caliber Upper's I Color Code guns by caliber; OD Green=.300 Blackout; All Black=6.8 SPC guns & FDE/Tan=5.56Nato/.223 AR's. Install matching color butt stocks, pistol grips, trigger guard bottoms, front & rear flip sights, mags and fore ends. Makes for very easy/quick caliber ID per gun!

Magpul quality as always, easy mount, easy to sight. I use to co-witness with Trijicon MRO. Thumbs UP!

AR-15 Flip-Up MBUS Gen 2 Tactical Sight

Fast shipping, Product exactly as advertised, Mounts easily and appears to be a solid piece of equipment.

The real deal

These sights are as tough as nails without adding extra weight. With all of the extra equipment on my M4, weight is an issue for extended periods of use. It is nice to add quality equipment with no change in weight, and the MBUS work great and stay out of the way until you need them. A must have if you have an M4.

Best tactical color BUIS

OD green is my favourite color in tactical type firearms. Black guns is more common while OD green is more stunning with tactical type rifles when coordinated properly with matching furniture. Magpul's MBUS is an excellent alternative to metal BUIS at the fraction of the price. However, care must be observe not to excert excessive force when tightening the assembly screw as it will crack the plastic material. The supplied front adjustment tool makes sight adjustment a breeze. Great design, easy to install and higly functional.

I would by it again

Mounted this on my AR build and have had no problems. I only rated it 4 stars because the peep sight could be smaller for the long range shooting. Overall though very satisfied and will purchase again for my next build. Brownells has fast shipping to, withing three days I had my sight.
