AR-15 GEN III EXTENDED MAGAZINE RELEASE

AR-15 GEN III EXTENDED MAGAZINE RELEASE Reviews & Ratings

After the release of the ODIN Works Gen II XMR Extended Magazine Release, which is designed to clear the Magpul BAD lever, AR enthusiasts still asked for enhanced improvements to the design in order to clear KNS hammer and trigger pins. Ever-responsive to consumer demands, ODIN Works developed its Gen III line of XMR releases, which are built to work with both KNS pins and the Magpul BAD lever. Each ODIN Works XMR Extended Magazine Release is machined from 6061 aluminum and is designed to provide a larger, push-button surface area that makes releasing magazines faster and easier than ever before. This release features the ODIN boomerang cut, and installation takes only minutes. The release fits both AR-15 and AR 308 style rifles.

Amazing
Better than expected. My DD MK12 is now complete.

Excellent Attachment to Have
Solid build, easy to install and overall a massive improvement to the standard Mil-Spec magazine release bundled with most pre-built rifles. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Works great for me!
This extended release works best when I don't crook my finger and use my fingertip, but rather extend my finger forward and push inward with a straight finger. The design allows a very minimal push without need to adjust the trigger finger when I do this. Nice. I'm not sure if it's a feature or a flaw, but If I crook my finger and push on only the last segment of the extended release, it binds the release and requires a much harder push to release the mag. This actually seems like it might help prevent unintentional mag releases if you accidentally hit the release on it's end. Anyway, it works great for me.

Just Awesome
Clears Bad Lever and works great. Easy to install price is reasonable. Installed on two lowers.

Works for me
This mag release (Odin's *original* product) "fits" with my gun-handling "ergonomics." It is much easier to locate and operate than the mil-spec button. Use the old release as a "pusher" when installing the new one- makes it a snap. Silver color nicely matches my SS HBAR barrel.

Not as good as it looks
Installed this on my new 300BLK "pistol" Intending to replace my existing 3 gun rifle. Installation was just like any other mag release on an AR-15. The only problem was that the button binds up if you're not right on top of it. I attempted to lube it up with some aeroshell but even that couldn't fix the binding. So while it looks good it doesn't serve it's purpose as an extended mag release so it's back to the trusty Magpul extended release.
