This rail does the job! Glad I picked it up for a decent price at Brownells. I’ve been looking for a quality mlok rail and a lot of people said to get a Midwest Industries. I picked this one out and it has exceeded my expectations. The rail lockup is snug and there are plenty of points that support various mlok attachments. I really enjoy the qd mount that is built into the rail. Glad to be supporting a company that makes their products in USA!

Perfect fit and finish
I recently purchased the Midwest 14” G4 hand guard for my SFAR RifleSpeed gas block upgrade… The fit and finish worked perfectly and the instruct made the job quick and easy from start to finish.
Good to go
Easy to install. Love the barrel nuts that don't need to be timed. Just thread it on and torque it down and you're good to go. Handguard fits really snug over barrel nut, which I like. Overall very pleased with this for the money.

These MI hand guards are the best I've found! They fit perfect, are easy to install and built to last. I've been using them for years and they just keep getting better.

I own several FDE factory Gen3 keymod versions of these rails and rather like them, so I was annoyed about having to use M-LOK since Keymod went the way of Betamax and forced to get black, and I still prefer Keymod after having used both systems. That said, I assumed the Gen4 was the same as Gen3 in most regards, and conceptually it is indeed. However, I have come to like the new integrated anti-rotation tabs for the handguard itself machined into the Gen4, which is now essentially self-aligning on my forged Aero Precision upper receivers. Also, the barrel nut prevents any forward movement of the unit, and combined with the tabs changes the attachment of the unit much more than expected. Midwest instructions now instruct the user to not use any Loctite are any adhesive, which were needed and included with he Gen3, so this is quite a change. Overall, these are excellent, and I recommend them highly. That said, I still prefer Keymod and lament the unavailability of FDE coloration At least these still have forward sling plugs at the 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 positions, which have also become more difficult to.get.

The handguard to barrel nut fitment was really snug. No play at the anti-rotation tabs with my M4E1 upper.
MWI G4 10.5" Handguard
This is well made, light, and looks great....except with the receiver I attached it to. I attached it to an ADM billet upper receiver and as you can see in the picture you can still see a smidge of the barrel nut showing. I wish it reached back a bit further like an aero precision atlas does. A superlative arms adjustable gas block fit perfectly fine inside.

Nowhere in the description that I could find mentioned this rail will not install on a billet upper without modification, will have to remove tabs
