B-GC BROWNELLS/GEISSELE COMPETITION 1-STAGE TRIGGER FOR AR-15 Reviews & Ratings

B-GC (Brownells / Geissele Competition)

Don't Spend a Fortune!

Available ONLY at Brownells

Geissele and Brownells have teamed up to offer two unique triggers that give you the best performance at the best price! As one of the oldest and largest distributors of Geissele products, we had the unique opportunity to sit down with them to spec out two AR-15 triggers that wring out every bit of the performance Geissele is famous for. We also wanted to deliver them at a price point that won't make Geissele fans wait until a Black Friday sale to upgrade their current trigger!

We found ways to reduce production costs on things that don't sacrifice the legendary Geissele trigger performance. So these triggers are not laser-engraved (which you can't see anyway when they're in the gun), and they're batch-tested rather than individually inspected. Rest assured, if for ANY reason you’re not satisfied with your Brownells-exclusive Geissele trigger, it's still Guaranteed. Forever.® Simply return it to us for refund or exchange if it doesn’t meet your expectations.

Remember: you can't get these triggers anywhere else. They are available EXCLUSIVELY from Brownells!

The B-GC Geissele Competition Trigger was developed to produce a short, relatively light single-stage pull and a short, quick reset that are ideal for 3 Gun competition and recreational target shooting. Two trigger springs are included so the B-GC can be set up with a 3.2 lb. or 4 lb. pull. Note: The B-GC trigger is not recommended for benchrest shooting or shooting that requires small groups. What Reviewers Are Saying
Trigger Performance
60%
Many reviewers highlight the trigger's smooth and crisp pull, with a very short reset that enhances rapid firing capabilities. It is especially favored for competition and quick follow-up shots, although some users noted inconsistencies in pull weight and light strikes.
Installation Difficulty
45%
Several reviews mention that the installation process can be challenging, with missing pins and insufficient instructions leading to frustration. Users suggest having experience with AR triggers is beneficial, though many acknowledge the performance makes the effort worthwhile.
Material Quality and Construction
30%
A recurring concern is the quality of materials, with some reviewers indicating that the trigger feels less robust compared to higher-end Geissele products. Reports of lighter metals and inconsistent performance have been noted, causing some buyers to question the overall value.
Reliability Concerns
35%
Some users experienced reliability issues, such as light primer strikes and unintended full-auto discharges due to the short reset. While many found it dependable in rapid engagements, a notable subset expressed concerns regarding its suitability for tactical use without thorough training and caution.
Value for Money
50%
User reviews frequently cite the trigger's affordability as a key positive, especially when compared to more expensive models. Many feel it offers excellent performance for the price, particularly during sales, making it an attractive option for those hesitant to spend more on a trigger.

Careful with this trigger
I put this an Aero 308 lower. The way it fits in the Aero lower there’s really no second stage, it just kind of slides off lightly, not a clear crisp release. It’s a light pull depending on the spring you use. But it’s not the same quality as original Guissel triggers, and it will occasionally let lose two or three shots at a time…it doesn’t always catch

Not worth the price saving!!
I purschased the B-GRF trigger while on sale to compare to my SSA-E and SSP triggers. Unfortunately, the B-GRF doesnt even come close in quality compared to its Geissele counter parts. It almost feels as if they arent even made by the same manufacturer. My first and biggest complaint is with the hammer spring retainer tends to rub on your lower when resetting the trigger, in turn making a grinding noise against your lower receiver wall. The noise can not be heard with the upper attached, but knowing its there drives me insane. Second, the trigger pull is NOWHERE near the advertised 4lb pull. Trigger pull is closer to MIL-spec 6lb pull, and this has also been verified by other buyers. If you are in the market for a quality rapid fire trigger, then spend the extra $25 and just get the Geissele SSP.

Not as Well Made as Wilson Combat TTU3G!
Only shot 40 rounds with it installed on my PWS Mark 114 gas piston AR Rifle and it Was a Bit of a disapointment Even with the 3.2 pound spring installed :( Its Wasnt as Fast as My Wilson Combat TTU3Gun trigger on tripple and double tap shots and Didnt feel as controllable either! I Didnt get a change to do a mag dump with this trigger, cuz the HK Steel maritime mags kept causing misfeeds every 12th round on the 2 mags I had !!! :( Im Gonna Just Stick W/ My Wilson Combat TTU3Gun trigger :) Cuz its Built Like a Tank and Works Better Than One in Combat as Well !!! Peace~
