A mixed bag.
Appears to be well made: excellent machining, a smooth and even finish, threaded onto my barrel fine. It even looks good, IMO. Function may be exactly what you're looking for - or not - depending on why you're considering this flash hider. To preface the following remarks, firing was done attached to a 16 inch barrel at near-dark, using Federal XM193 and Winchester XM855 ammunition. From the shooter's perspective, there was little or no luminous billow around the muzzle. That's good. However, as viewed from the side, the reason that the shooter doesn't see a luminous cloud is because the gas is channeled forward into a cone that tapers down to a point the further out it goes. Unfortunately, this concentration causes a smallish but noticeably brighter than normal (as compared to muzzle devices such as the YHM Phantom 5C1) ball of hot gas in front of the muzzle. In conclusion, if you're looking to minimize the luminous billow from the shooter's perspective this may be a good choice for you, but if you're looking to minimize flash as seen by an observer this is probably not the device that will make you happy.
