Great for Use on Pistol/SBR Builds
I have used this product on 10.5" - 11.5" builds with great success. When installed and the prongs timed properly it does a great job of reducing flash and limiting muzzle flip. I have used this muzzle device with many different types of ammo and have had consistent results.

ACCU TAC VS A2
I bought this to replace the standard A2 flash hider. As a flash hider, it works great. Better than the A2. Easier to clean. Installs easier. No indexing required unless you want to do so. Nicer finish. With double taps, the muzzle rise is more than the A2. I never realized how the A2 acted as a compensator until I shot the Wilson. Shooting prone in snow, the Wilson does kick up more snow closer to the muzzle than the A2. The Wilson does not change point of impact at 100 yards when shooting off left or right shoulder, the A2 does for me. This may be due to the compensator effect of the A2 vs the 360 degree blast effect of the Wilson. When shooting in awkward field positions, sometimes the A2 torques the rifle a bit. Not so with the Wilson. The 3 prongs do not ring when chambering or shooting rounds, or when bumping the muzzle against things. Large slots easier to clear if muzzle hits the mud. Open ends snag easier than closed ends. Awesome product with only negatives of the prone blast signature and slightly more muzzle rise than the A2.

Flawless quality
Wilson Combat took the three prong design and made it better. Fit and finish were exactly as you'd expect from them and no disappointments here. I'm running three of these on different barrel lengths and would choose the Wilson Combat again. Super nice flash hider :+)

wilson flash suppressor
conducted my own field test against other popular AR 15 flash suppressor (sharpended ones) and was suprised that the Wilson Combat Basic suppressor out preformed. Preformed exactly as advertised very small flash immpressive, again real world tests. hooah!!!

Works great but threads need to be fixed
Here is the deal. These are basically the smith design but a little shorter and nicer finish with some metal removed on outside to make lighter. THE PROBLEM is that there are burrs on the internal threads about half way in. I have purchased two of these, one from Brownells and one from a lesser retailer. BOTH needed me to run a 1/2 x 28 tap through them to clear the internal threading and then they worked fine. They really should be recalled so the internal threads can be fixed. I have seen postings about this on a few retailers reviews and it was obviously a production error.
