If you dive into things like I do and are on a budget like I am this is your lucky day. The barrel looks great. The action is fairly smooth and getting better as I shoot it. 60 rounds in and it is much improved. Bolted right in to a KRG Bravo and at 300 to 600 yds its an all day steel ringer. No need to buy a trigger either. With some basic skills its easily adjustable down to 1.5 lbs. Without any extra work it's adjustable to 2.5 lbs with the turn of a screw. And the second stage breaks great.

Barrel was accurate out of the box. Droped it in a MDT chasis. At 100 yards with Hornady black i got quarter size grouping

For years I have searched for 308 with a 24 or 26 inch heavy contour barrel. This one is perfect 24 heavy varmint. Order from brownells and it was delivered at my lgs in 7 days. 308 heavy barrel 24" Love this thing. Howa makes a great product and brownells offers at a great price. Not the greatest weight for a carry around rifle but surely not the heaviest out there. Great for a bit of competition with friends.

I mounted this in Boyds stock and found a load it loves. 44.4 gr of Varget, 169gr Sierra target, and amall rifle primer. .469 at 100 yards.

One of the best 308 actions you can get on a budget I can get 5 shot dime size groups with hand loads at 100 I've had it out to 800 ringing steel excited to push it further Quality Construction no excessive bolt slob everything operates as it should very easy to tear down the bolt and clean overall trigger is decent out of the box I put it in a krg bravo chassis just buy it

Wow!! Really impressed with the quality of the action and barrel. This went into my precision rifle build. I put a vortex 5-25 strike eagle, mdt scope base, mdt precision scope rings, and an mdt muzzle brake into an mdt xrs chassis. Really stout build and comfortable when I shoulder it. It is heavy at over 13 lbs, but that’s to be expected with a build of this sort. Gonna take it out to the range and see how it does.
