The Howa 1500 .308 Heavy Varmint 24" Barreled Action gives you a head start on building your own custom long-range rifle. It’s built around a forged steel short action (SA) receiver with a hammer-forged barrel with a # 6 bull / heavy contour. The one-piece, dual-lugged bolt has a precisely squared bolt face and dual lugs that make optimum contact with the receiver recesses. Comes with the barrel installed and headspaced. An easy-to-reach, three-position safety locks the bolt or can be set to allow the action to be unloaded while on safe. Inside the Howa 1500 .308 Heavy Varmint 24" barreled action is a light, two-stage HACT (Howa Actuator Controlled Trigger) trigger that delivers a consistent pull and a break that can be set from 2.5 to 3.8 lbs.
