Far better than OEM bolt
I originally used a Ruger OEM bolt. It caused considerable binding when I put it in a BRN-22TD receiver with a Timney trigger pack. It was completely inoperable. I sent the receiver back to Brownells thinking that there was an issue with the inner diameter of the receiver. When Brownells brought out their new 10/22 bolt, I decided to give it a try. Brownells sent back my receiver to me and their bolt works fantastically. Turns out that my issue was with the Ruger OEM bolt. My advice is to spend the extra money for the Brownells bolt, which is of much higher quality. Also, the customer service at Brownells and the FFL department was great.

Perfect in Brownells Receiver
I was experiencing serious binding issues in my BRN-22 build with a new, factory Ruger 10/22 bolt. At first, it seemed like it was related to the bolt handle because the severity lessened somewhat when I swapped out the extended Volquartsen handle/recoil rod assembly for a standard Ruger assembly. The binding continued and was bad enough to make me regret ever having attempted to build a high-end 10/22 from scratch. A week later, this Brownells bolt appeared as a new product and I took a chance despite the price tag... IT FITS PERFECTLY and GLIDES SMOOTHLY. Im very pleased with the fit & finish and even more relieved to have salvaged a registered receiver I had almost given up on! Definite buy.

Looks good
Looks good, feels good. Waiting for the rest of my parts to put it all together.

Looks good.
Fits the factory Ruger receiver after some light sanding. But would not fit the Brownells receiver at all. Luckily I had another 10/22 to swap parts with.

Very Nice TiN Finish
The bolt arrived when promised. It is finished very nicely. I got the gold TiN color. My build is not completed yet, so I have not used the bolt in my Brownell's receiver. I cannot speak to the reliability, hence the 4 star review. I'll update when I utilize it.

decent for the price
seems adequate for my 10/22 build, would like to upgrade to a Kidd bolt assembly one day...

So so
The bolt itself is really nice but, it doesn't feed poly coated subs very well in a Ruger receiver. But it feeds them fine if it's in a Brownells receiver.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Gunsmith observation
The firing pin protrusion is too high. It does not function like a 10/22 bolt because the firing pin strikes the breach face. Understand that you must shave the nose on the pin so you don't ruin the barrel and firing pin. If the headspace is .043 min and .051 max you don't make the firing pine protrude .052. Out of the three bolts I've received all three had to be modified. Ruger knows this so their firing pin usually protrudes around .036"-.038". Kidd also knows this and lengthens their firing pins accordingly. When Bill Ruger designed the Standard pistol and 10/22 he made them both dry fire capable. Brownells is making them incapable out of the box for dry firing without damaging the barrel.

Unfinished coating
The side of the bolt is not coated.
