Works!
On the OEM suppressor this is the best muzzle guard option. Tried the Dewey Brass Muzzle guide as suggested in the review above, and it does not protect anything. This guard slips on nice and easy and keeps the rod straight as possible for an M1A. Well worth it.

Prefer the Dewey Brass over this Model
I have all of the three different bore guides and muzzle guides Brownells sells for my M14 and although this one works for M14s with the standard flash suppressor, it does not work on after market suppressors such as the Smith Vortex. The Dewey Brass model Brownells number 234-018-030 is much better. Even with standard flash suppressors this one gets stuck on the muzzle and when you try to withdraw your rod and copper brush you get splattered. Hard to remove from the muzzle once you get it on. The Brass model is much better all around.

Only Good for OEM Flash Suppressor
This works great if you have a Standard M14 Flash suppressor. If you have any plans on changing yours to another such as a Smith Ent. Vortex Flash Suppressor you will end up buying the Dewey with the rubber ring for Coated Rods. It is here on Brownells, but you have to hunt a little for it. NOT the regular Dewey without the O-Ring.

Doesnt Fit M1A SOCOM 16 Muzzle Break
I ordered this for my M1A SOCOM 16 because the description said it would fit an .750 M1A muzzle brake. It doesnt. I am going to return it.
