MOSIN NAGANT SCOUT MOUNT 91/30, 91/59 (S&K)

This Scout Mount would be a very good mount if you did not have to remove the scope in order to make large adjustments to elevation. The scope as mounted was shooting 75 inches low at 100 yds. After making several adjustments and returning to the range after each adjustment I got it zeroed and made final adjustments by using the scope adjustment. It is a solid mount but having to take the scope off to make large adjustments just isn't the way to go. If the mount was designed so that large adjustments could be done without having to remove the scope, I would have given a 5-star rating. John

I know every Mosin is made with different tolerances, but none of the holes lined up at all with the 91/30 this was made for. Adding insult to injury, all of the 4 set screws for the scope rings were missing. Had to beat the thing to death to even get it to fit into the rear sight, then the holes they had tapped for the front screws were too small. Bottom line--if it works for you, great; for me it was absolute garbage.
