A bit pricey but worth the investment
I used the drill on 2 barrels. Winchester 1890 and 1906. Cut effortlessly and when finished bit still looks brand new. Completed this with DeWalt 18v hand drill. Pilot keeps the bore on line. You must be careful to insert and extract in a straight line. If you run the bit in or out offline you will create an oversize hole on the ends.

I have bought many of these.
Easy to install. I used the machine lathe for the drilling. Get the barrel perfectly lined up using the tail stock center. A great fix-up for those old single shot boys rifles.

The right tool for the job.
This is the right tool for installing barrel liners, even with a hand drill once you hit the sweet spot for speed and feed this will make the perfect hole following the pilot. can't screw it up with this bit.

Does the job.
Ended up turning out okay, but I probably should have bought the shorter one too, just to get the hole started. Lots of flex in this long drill, & it was a bit of a challenge to keep from having it whip when I was starting the hole.

Rifle Length Barrel Liner Drill
Excellent quality drill minor modification required. The drill was so sharp had to stone the cutting edge a little to keep it from biting and sticking.
