Great lens covers!
These alumina covers are the best lens covers on the market! Leupold has it right for this design...the covers screw into the scope so that you don't have to keep up with a loose bikini cover when shooting, they don't slip around or fall off, and are made of metal so the lens is very well protected. I wish Vortex and other manufacturers offered something like this for their scopes. Most of my hunting rifles wear Leupold's because of these lens covers. If you have Leupold glass, these covers are highly recommended.
Warning for VX-6 scope owners
This is a wonderful product, works great. However part number 59055 will not work on the VX-6 scope. The VX-6 requires a 36 MM cover not a 34MM. The VX-6 requires a part no 117611. I now have a 59055 cover and nothing to put it on.
Great Concept from a Great Company
I have several on my scopes. I have used these downrange and home hunting and shooting. A high number fail due to the magnets falling out after some use. I take great care of my equipment but it seems the glue fails once exposed to some weather. Leupold's great warranty will cover this, but for the price, one would expect a fail safe product.
