Solid, affordable, excellent machining.
I have purchased several of these with some accessory caps for AimPoint Micros and for RMR patter top dots. The Reptilia AUS has a lot of available options when it comes to mounting your optic and accessories. When you start adding in plates and spacers on some of these type of mounts you can get over $500 very fast, but these go on sale often and they are worth full price. They have perfectly machined surfaces and recoil lugs. I have never had an any issues with return to zero so long as I make sure to push the mount forward using light pressure in the direction of the muzzle. This seats the recoil lugs against the raised pic rail slots and keeps the thing from shifting under recoil. The instructions tell you how much torque to use but make sure to get an inch/lbs torque driver like the Fat Boy, or something better like Fix-It-Stix. I can’t say enough good things about these mounts I have three and I have been running the for about three years. I like the Geissele mounts and Badgers as well, but the Geissele doesn’t have as many accessory dot options if you like 45’s. You won’t be unhappy with this mount. The accessory pieces for the side mating surface I believe fits the Badgers, and possibly some other brands as well. A 1-6x in a 1.93” mount is a perfect use for these. They are very lightweight. Not much more than the Scalarworks. I have one of those to compare it too and the Scalarworks is beautiful but not nearly as sturdy. AUS or Condition 1 are the way to go. LaRue is also excellent for a duty rig. Super solid.
