OUCH!!! My thumb!
Does it's job and performs perfectly. I put a 20MOA version of this on my Remington 700 SPS Varmint and thought the relief that is cut in it to access the chamber was big enough for my thumb to press down the rounds for the internal magazine, I guess I was wrong. While it does have a very nice fit and finish, the edges are rather sharp and I can barely fit my large mechanic's fingers into the chamber and cut up my thumb every time. It does add a nice tactical look to the rifle and is more secure than a two piece but unless you have a detachable magazine, an ADL, or have really small dainty girly fingers then I would suggest getting a rail that is either taller or has a larger relief cut in it. My next perchase will be an AICS chassis system as I think this rail is exactly what I need until I get either a M.A.R.S. rail or a M.I.R.S. rail.
