C&H PRECISION WEAPONS - Trijicon RMR Footprint For Glock MOS Mounting Plate Black

In my opinion this is a great design for mounting the optic to the plate with t-nuts (the plate attaches to the slide with separate screws as one would expect). If either screw securing the optic to the plate is unintentionally over torqued and/or breaks off for any reason, it is an easy fix as compared to having the screw breakoff in the slide itself. Thought it was a little pricey when ordering but no regrets after receiving and installing.

Great base plate for your 407k - no milling required!

Using the factory Glock plate, you only get two threads from the two screws to hold the sight in place. Definitely not very secure. The C&H plate uses 4 studs and 7-8 threads of the screws for a more secure mount. Highly recommend the C&H mounting plate!

The 4 stars was for C & H, not Brownells. Brownells was great. Only people that had the plate instock, fast shipping. C & H needs to improve their QC. The plate had some burrs on it, from machining I guess? I had to do a little filing on the plate to get it to fit. Also had to file on the T nuts a little as well. Overall though, I still like the plate, better than the stock Glock plates by far. I included a pic of what I'm talking about. After I got all the defects filed down, the plate was perfect. That was the only reason I said poor construction.

Brownells is great and stands behind their products, their customer service is top notch. This is not their issue, but I thought it should be shared. I purchased this mounting plate directly from C&H, to get the FREE T-Nut upgrade from C&H without having to pay shipping for replacement parts (there have been QC issues with the T-Nuts, as stated by C&H), its a free add-on with your order. On their website you use drop-down menus to select the plate for your slide. I selected a G40 MOS slide (G40 10MM slide is 1.125)and RMR/407/507 footprint (Part# GL-RSH). The plate fully supports the 1.120 base of the optic. The problem is, its the same plate for the standard 1.000 G17/19/34/etc.. slide. There is a big chamfer on the bottom of the plate that matches the 1.000 Glock slide but leaves the 1.125 slides MOS cut exposed by 1/16 on each side. Called customer service and was told that there are too many variations of Glock slides for them to make one that fits the wider slide. They also make it difficult to leave a review on their site (I tried). I'm sure it would function great, but the fit (for the 10mm slide) is not up to my standards, customer service wasnt that great either. I will be returning the plate for a refund minus shipping. or buy another MOS Glock that it fits. Its settled, Ill add another gun (G45 Gen5 MOS) to the safe.
