Effectively Stabilize Your AR-Style Pistol
Fans of AR-style pistols had an overwhelmingly positive response to the Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD 1 pistol-stabilizing brace, but the company decided it could make this pistol-stabilization platform even better with a second-generation version. The development of the Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD 2 offers more flexibility in mounting position, making the brace more accessible to more shooters.
Unlike the MOD 1, the Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD 2 has the ability to adjust overall length, thanks to a proprietary design developed by company engineers. This telescoping-latch mechanism offers five separate positions, up to a maximum length of 12.75 inches in length-of-pull. The MOD 2 still retains the company's popular brace design, which folds out to the side and provides a shelf for a shooter's forearm to rest on.
Each Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD 2 is made from injection-molded, reinforced polymer and weighs just 6.7 ounces. Also included with the brace is a web-sling loop, proprietary receiver extension, castle nut and back plate. The receiver extension is compatible with all carbine buffers and springs. Each brace is made in the USA.
