What is the BROWNELLS - Mauser 91 .375" Dovetail Front Sight Blank Steel Black?
.375' high blade lets you zero the Model 96 Swede and others to point of aim. Square post blade gives an easy-to-see, well defined sight picture with issue rear sights. Plenty of extra material so you can file and shape the blade to original contour or a custom shape. 5.26mm dovetail fits the Mauser front sight base. Fits most Mauser 91 through 98 rifles with military sight base. SPECS: Steel, blued, matte finish. .077' (1.9mm) wide, .375'
(9.5mm) high above 81° x .207' x .081' dovetail. May require
minor fitting.

Works great
I use these sights for Mauser type Military Surplus rifles in order to correct for point of impact to point of aim at 100 and 200 yard matches. The taller front sight allows for a lower point of impact. Also, the blade type sight provides for a better sight picture than the "inverted V" or barleycorn sight. I have used these on Japanese Type 99 rifles and Mauser rifles. However they do require some fitting, and a file works for that. Just take it slow and check you progress often to ensure you maintain a tight fit in the dovetail. Great product
