BRAVO COMPANY - AR-15 MOD-1 GUNFIGHTER GRIP

A much improved grip angle over a USGI style. The extra girth places my trigger finger in a much better place than a Std grip. I like the storage and keep a copy of my Tax Stamp in the one on my SBR and batteries for optics / lasers in other ones.

This grip was designed for a very specific customer; the shooter who shoots his carbine with the stock fully collapsed or almost fully collapsed, and who shoots the gun more toward the center of his or her chest as opposed to using the traditional 'pocket' (i.e. for shooting trap and skeet). This alleviates the issue that I had with my right wrist (firing hand) being placed at an extreme angle when I was in the firing position or the high ready. I was beginning to experience some lingeirng discomfort in my wrist and forearm from this issue. Enter the BCM grip mod 1. Pat Rogers helpd BCM on this design so that it allows more natural and ergonomic wrist angles (similar to the HK416 pistol grip). With this grip, I have no more wrist pain and my finger placement on the rigger bow is more natural and 'automatic'. It just falls into its proper place. If I had one small gripe, it is that I wish they made a mod 2 (with an even larger diameter backstrap and a bigger palmswell, but with the same angle). I am used to the Magpul MIAD using the large backstrap and the MOE +. If BCM ever releases a 'Mod 2' that is even bigger, that would be the perfect grip for me. I also appreciate the included 'gapper' insert that precludes the need for an ERGO gapper for the space in the trigger guard where your midle finger's knuckle rests. I chose the non-gapper (also provided) insert since I use a Magpul aluminum trigger guard. But, for those with regular milspec trigger guards, this is an even better value. Storage compartment locks up REALLY tight (a very good thing) and the door is tetherd (also a very good thing; you cant lose it). Overall, a very well thought out grip and an outstanding addition to any carbine if you use the above listed shooting techniques (i.e. the modern techniques). Ready for hard use!!!

I have yet to install this on my carbine. Found the grip to be a mix of A2, ERGO, and Magpul grips. The size and proportions remind me of the traditional a2 with large swell only at the bottom of the grip and narrow/thin near the middle of the palm. The backstrap is very high and unnoticeable (unlike the ergo which my hand wedges securely against while shooting. The material is similar to what Magpul uses on MOE/MIAD grips. Will have to update once I have actually used on my new build, but I have a small feeling that I might be put in the parts box. Wanted to let others know that this isn't like the ERGO grip in the full grip sense. Quality stuff though. And really like the grip gapper.
