What is the STERN DEFENSE, LLC - 9mm Complete Bolt NIB/Melonite?

The Stern Defense 9mm Bolts are designed to function with both Colt SMG, Glock®magazines and are fully compatible with standard AR15/M16 charging handles, giving you more options for your build. These come with either a Melonite or Nickel-Boron/Melonite hybrid finish, and are fully assembled with all sub-components installed, including firing pin/spring/retaining pin, extractor, and extractor spring.

Constructed from 8620 AISI steel
Glock®or Colt SMG magazine compatible
Cartridge: 9mm NATO
Finish: Black

The Stern Defense 9mm bolts incorporate a design which caters to single stage triggers with short resets. It also allows use with the JP silent capture spring. This bolt is compatible with the Law Tactical folding stock adapter and the Echo triggers. Made in the U.S.A.

Like this bcg it is very well made and function 100% straight out of the box as it should , unlike a few another name brands that the bolt face had to be modified to run ,I would purchase Stern again without hesitation !

Awesome

Great quality and value. Solid extractor, up and coming company should be around a while if parts are ever needed, but if not, cheap enough to get a new bolt. I really like the removable weight at the rear of the carrier, gives you lots of flexibility to experiment with BCG weights, use folding-stock BCG extension plugs, different buffer weights, and tune your firearm to your ammo, etc.

A piece of art that works!

I just received this BCG and put 500 rounds through my AR9 build and it did not disappoint! Not only is this BCG purdie, it works great! No hiccups at all with a Spikes lower and Odin upper...

It worked!

Had two bolt carriers, this is the one that worked. My first build of a PCC 9mm. A Foxtrot Mike lower, a Doublestar upper 16" Barrel, and this bolt carrier. Very happy with the out come. I have already add other items to my Brownells wish list to continue improving this build. This getting me started thanks to Brownells.

Works Great

I got this and some Endomags to go with a 9mm upper build I put together. Only part I had to swap out in the lower was the buffer. I put in one of the 9mm heavy buffers that don't need the spacer. A buddy and I put 200 rounds through it and there were no issues at all.
