Brownells BRN-22 16.1" Threaded .22 LR Barrels
Build or upgrade your BRN-22 or compatible Ruger® 10/22® rimfire rifle with a Brownells BRN-22 barrel. Available in two distinct profiles, these premium-grade barrels offer different chamber designs to suit your build.
Choose a .920" Bull Barrel with a Bentz chamber for an accuracy-focused build, or a Factory Sporter Barrel with a SAAMI-standard chamber for lighter weight and broad ammunition compatibility. Both profiles are available in 4140 chrome-moly steel with a black nitride finish or 416R stainless steel. All configurations feature a 16.1" barrel length and 1/2x28 muzzle threading.

The BRN-22 Bull Barrel features a heavy .920" profile and a Bentz chamber designed to balance accuracy potential with reliable semi-automatic operation.
A Bentz chamber falls between the more generous dimensions of a standard SAAMI sporting chamber and the tighter dimensions of a dedicated match chamber. Its tighter cartridge fit can promote greater consistency and accuracy potential, while retaining sufficient clearance for reliable feeding and extraction in semi-automatic rifles.
Weighing approximately 2.8 lbs., the Bull Barrel is suited for accuracy-focused builds where a heavier barrel profile is preferred.
Factory Sporter Barrel | SAAMI Chamber | 1.6 lbs.
The BRN-22 Factory Sporter Barrel features a lighter, traditional sporter contour and a SAAMI-standard sporting chamber. Compared to tighter Bentz or match chambers, the SAAMI sporting chamber provides more generous clearances, accommodating variations in ammunition dimensions and supporting reliable function across a broad range of commercially available .22 LR ammunition.
At approximately 1.6 lbs., the Factory Sporter Barrel weighs 1.2 lbs. less than the Bull Barrel, making it an excellent option for lightweight builds and shooters prioritizing maneuverability.
