What is the BALLISTIC ADVANTAGE - AR 308 Rifle-Length 20 Barrel Heavy Profile?

This .308 chambered (DPMS style) 12.5 inch Tactical Government Profile Modern Series Barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Corrosion Resistant Finish and QPQ coated M4 feed ramp extension.

All NFA/ATF Rules Apply

You may use this barrel with a lower receiver that is a Registered SBR, Machine Gun, or Pistol. Possession of this barrel along with a Non-NFA lower receiver is Prohibited, except when installed on a Pistol configuration firearm.

Aero/BA 12.5-inch 308 AR barrel
Chose 5-stars as the barrel seems great, but have not had a chance to build yet. Brownells took forever (six weeks) to get the barrel out to me.

Outstanding barrel
I removed a brand new barrel from my AR-10 that wouldn't shoot under 3 MOA with any Ammunition. After breaking this barrel in. I fouled the barrel with a 5 shot group that measured right at 1.25 MOA. Since then i have shot multiple 3 to 5 round .75 MOA groups. All groups were shot with IMI 175gr OTM Razor Core.

Impressive
I'm using this barrel with and matched set of Aero upper and lower with a BCM bolt. The first time out I was doing my break in and shot five shot strings between cleanings. From a bagged rest at only 54 yards using 1987 LC NATO head stamped ammo it shot nickle sized groups over and over after each time I cleaned the barrel. So I was happy and will be trying it at much longer ranges with better ammo soon. The only down side is it is a bit heavy but that can also be a plus if don't need to carry it all day. A+ from me.

BA always provides good stuff and this barrel is no exception. Good price, good craftsmanship, and perfect fit (in an Aero upper).
