What is the LIMBSAVER - Limbsaver Grind Large?

Space-age, NAVCOM^™ polymer, grind-to-fit recoil pad reduces bruising and recoil pain on your shoulder. Grinds easily using a coarse belt for a perfect-fitting recoil pad. Advanced Simms technology spreads recoil throughout the entire pad for even recoil displacement. Available in Small, Medium, and Large.

SPECS: Navcom polymer, black. 1" (2.54cm) thick. Small – 4-13/16 " (12.2cm) long, 1-27/32" (4.7cm) wide; grindable to 3-7/8" (10cm) long, 1-11/32" (3.4cm) wide. Medium – 5-3/32” (13cm) long, 1-13/16" (4.6cm) wide; grindable to 4ј" (11cm) long, 1-5/16" (3.3cm) wide. Large – 5-9/16" (14cm) long, 2-1/16" (5.2cm) wide; grindable to 4-7/16" (11.3cm) long, 1-19/32" (4cm) wide.

Not As Hard As You Think

I have an early 1970's Universal M-1 Carbine that I was giving to my teenage daughter. To try to make the gun as user friendly as possible, I wanted to put a LimbSaver recoil pad on but all were way too big. So I reluctantly ordered the small size grind to fit expecting it to be a big mess. With a belt sander, WD-40 and 4 hours over few nights, the recoil pad looks custom made. I would not hesitate to do another one.
