What is the PRO MAG - M1 Carbine Magazine 15-Rd Steel Blue .30 Carbine?

In post-WWII America, one of the most popular military-surplus guns on the market was the M1 Carbine, thanks to its light, handy construction, semi-automatic operation and detachable magazine. Today, these military classics continue to be popular with WWII enthusiasts and plinkers, and these M1 Carbine steel magazines are designed to work in today's reproduction and original rifles. The M1 Carbine steel magazine is designed for use with .30 Carbine cartridges only and have a magazine body made from heat-treated carbon steel. The magazine is treated with a black-oxide finish that combats corrosion and premature wear. Inside each M1 Carbine steel magazine, you'll find a spring formed from heat-treated chrome-silicon wire, as well as a stamped-steel follower. The magazines are available in 15- and 30-round capacities and are made in the USA.

Good M1 carbine magazine
Purchased several different make M1 carbine magazines for testing all different make M1 carbines that NorMag Gunsmithing has come in for work. We found this Pro Mag 15rd magazine works well in USGI as well as commercial carbines including the Auto Ordnance (s/n ME 285x) . The ones we received have plastic followers, Brownells description says followers are steel (?) . We will not return, cost too much time & money to return and these work fine. We like that these do NOT hold open bolt on last round. These made as good or better than other magazines we use for function testing M1 carbines. .

not what ia was hoping for
These mags were difficult to load. get 10 rounds in and they stops feeding. when I did finally get one fully loaded. after a few shot would jam and not feed. I don't know about the 15 round mags probably better because no curve in the mag. Maybe they just need some wear
