What is the WOLFF - 20 lb. Recoil Spring?
Like all Wolff springs, these for the 1911 Auto in .45, .38 ­Super or 9mm are the finest, most reliable, longest lasting ones available. The springs of choice for most of the nation's top builders. Except where noted, all recoil springs are supplied with an extra power firing pin spring that keeps the firing pin stop in place and prevents firing pin “float”; an addition recommended by pistolsmith Bill Wilson. TYPE C - Extra Power For Hardball and Heavier Loads inGov't./Gold Cup are for these guns in both .45 ACP and .38 Super. Allows more precise tuning of individual guns for better stripping, smoother cycling. Factory weight is 16 lb. Extra power firing pin spring included.

Excellent productt
Have 1911 in 10mm. Jammed repeatedly from factory. Put in this heavier spring and cured all the problems.

Great for 230gr JHP.
I used this spring set on my most recent tactical build. Works perfect with 230gr HST and +P ammo. You will notice with light loads the brass doesn't fly quite as far but never a malfunction. I have noticed I prefer this style to the Wilson style chrome silicon. Wolff's spring material seems to hold shape and stay stiff longer.

Excellent spring
I use these recoil springs in my duty SA TRP Operator. I have not had a malfuction in my gun and the heavier spring prevents your slide from banging against your frame and damaging it with hotter loads. I replace my recoil spring once a year and take advantage of the firing pin spring that comes with it. If you shoot hotter loades other than practice ammo this is the spring to get.

Wolff springs rock
The quality of Wolff springs is top notch. I have changed all of my factory springs in my 1911 to the Wollf brand. I have been using them for many years and they have never failed me. They work so good that's all I use now.
