The Mk 2 isn't a departure from what worked—it’s a precision upgrade designed for seamless UCAS and LV-120 compatibility, without sacrificing the reliability of the legacy design. By integrating direct user feedback, we’ve maximized internal capacity and streamlined the profile, ensuring your mission-essential gear is more accessible than ever.
The Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 is designed to be a multi-mission back panel attachment to your LV-120 Plate Carrier, and other UCAS Compatible Plate Carriers. The Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 is both expandable and modular and can accommodate a series of equipment to meet virtually any operational need.
The Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 attaches to your LV-120 Rear Plate Bag using a combination of our proprietary Quick Attachment Tab System and UCAS Standard #10 Zippers.
The newly integrated Quick Attachment Tab System allows the Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 to affix to and off the LV-120 quickly and seamlessly.
The Panel has a removable flap system that allows the user to configure the upper half of the Back Panel to meet their mission needs. Compatible with Back Panel GP Flap, Back Panel Flashbang Flap and Back Panel MOLLE Flap. (Flaps are sold separately, the Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 does NOT come with a flap.) This eliminates the need to have multiple panels and allows for quicker donning and doffing of mission essential equipment.
THE TOP OF THE PANEL FEATURES A CUSTOM DOUBLE PULL, LOCKING, SEPARATING ZIPPER WHICH ALLOWS:
1) Total user configurability to swap, stack and secure your mission-essential tools without compromise.
2) Communication antennas and other items such as cabling, hydration tubes and breaching tools to be routed into and out of the top of the panel with the locking zipper setting the tool in a specific position.
The Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 is designed with three direction snaps to hold Flaps securely and to keep tools held inside the panel.
THE PANEL CAN BE WORN IN THREE CONFIGURATIONS:
1) Configuration 1 uses the outermost zippers to attach the panel to the plate bag. This compresses the panel and allows it to be worn in a "light" configuration. Ideal for users who want a streamlined fit and only need to carry breaching tools, slap charges, flash bangs and GP kit on their backs.
2) Configuration 2 uses the innermost zippers to attach the panel to the plate bag. This gives the user greater capacity and configures the panel to act more like a small assault pack. This provides the same features as Configuration 1, but with the added volume for bulky items such as radios, cold weather gear, pole-less litters, etc.
3) Configuration 3 “The Drop Expansion Pocket,” utilizes Configuration 1) to attach to the rear plate bag and introduces the bottom expansion. This expansion offers the ability to carry longer tools and store even more bulky items in the expanded space.
Between the two sets of zippers, is a column of MOLLE cuts for mounting pouches, such as the Magic Stick, and has holes for shock cord to secure charges, braided tubular nylon or any other lightweight objects.
The Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 comes standard with a permanently affixed large GP pocket on the lower half. This pocket is lined with a loop field for attachment of accessory items and features two tie-down locations inside the pouch for securing sensitive equipment. The front of the pouch features a zippered stash pocket for organizing smaller, commonly needed items. This pocket has an external 4" x 5" loop field for attaching identification patches. Behind the GP pocket is a hidden stash compartment, used for storing the lower half of slap charges or other items when they are passed through the flaps above. It can also be used to stash E&E equipment or smaller personal items.
To fold the main bag tail extension back into the Assault Back Panel Core Mk 2 body, stuff the extension into the panel and re-affix your directional snap straps. These straps are now wrapped around the bottom of the back panel, which allows you to secure it in place if a heavier load needs to be carried inside, but you do not want the expansion to deploy inadvertently.
