The Hornady Varmint Express line provides both in spades, and now owners of the new 224 Valkyrie can take advantage of the lineup. Each Hornady Varmint Express round is loaded with the company's V-MAX bullet, which is designed to perform accurately and fragment quickly upon impact with varmint animals at a practical velocity.

  • Bullet weight: 60 grains
  • Muzzle velocity: 3,300 fps
  • Muzzle energy: 1,451 foot-pounds
  • Ships in quantities of 20 rounds

To ensure consistent, reliable performance, Hornady makes most of the brass for its Varmint Express lineup and holds each round to stringent lot-consistency standards for pressure, velocity and accuracy. Primers are also chosen for their reliable operation, allowing users to be confident in their shots.
