Best bluing solution!
This stuff just works! Read and follow all instructions carefully. For boiling long gun barreled-actions, I used a blemished stainless 42" old bartender's speed rail that I sealed up with high-heat sealer and put that on top of a cheap three burner stove that I also found online. Proper metal preparation before the job is critical. After that, be absolutely sure to perform full degreasing on any metal parts to be refinished before each and every application. This is a good backyard project on a hot humid day. The metal might not rust as effectively in colder dryer weather. Get several pairs of clean cotton gloves ready. Don't touch your work with your bare hands at all-it will also get hot to boot from being boiled. Also, have an air compressor for metal drying metal after boiling along with a heat gun handy to fully dry the applied solution. Apply this stuff in straight even passes with a cotton round. A tiny bit goes a long way. The first application is the most important one. After that, just be patient. It took me 8 applications to get the finish super dark and even. You'll slowly even out the finish to bring out a super tough and gorgeous real honest blue without hazardous chemicals or zany high temperatures such as those required when working with caustic salts. Now, I can restore any blued steel gun to better-than-new condition! I'm done with cold bluing altogether. Thanks Brownells and Mark Lee Supply!

Very excited.
I tried two other Ross brewing techniques before Mark Lee. I use the Home concoction with peroxide vinegar and salt. I also try to commercial brand which didn’t recommend heating. Neither matched this product. I stripped the firearm down to Barr metal again and tried this product and the results were in my opinion almost factory perfect. I filed directions, and I etched the pistol with black diamond under low pressure. I would highly recommend it as it is fast and very consistent results.

Mark Lee Express Blue no 1
I have been rust blueing for a long time, I've used most of the products available like the old Herters Belgian Blue and Dicropan IM and this product is by far the best of the bunch. You must make sure that the surface is clean and completely oil free. If you do that it will produce a very nice durable finish that exceeds any other products I've ever used
