What is the BROWNELLS - Acra-Bed Pre-Colored Epoxy Refill, Brown, 50ml?
ACRA-BED PRE-COLORED EPOXY

“Goof-proof” epoxy formula makes small bedding jobs and stock repair easy for beginners and busy professional gunsmiths alike. The convenient application gun automatically mixes the resin and the hardener as you apply a precise amount of Acra-Bed exactly where you need it—no mess, no waste. Thick, smooth consistency makes it stay put, and a 20-minute work time lets you position parts and work the product into place before it sets. Hardens to the touch in 12 hours; cures completely in three days. Comes in two colors: a “walnutty” medium brown that blends with most wood stocks, and black to match popular black, synthetic stocks. Use the non-flammable release agent to prevent the epoxy from bonding where you don’t want it to stick.

Acra-bed
Worked well for me!! I read the reviews before I purchased it and was concerned but...... I've worked with a lot of 2 part epoxies and some people struggle with simple things. Make sure both parts are dispensing before you put the nozzle on,dispense a little on a shop towel . Then apply it to your work piece. Worked perfectly.
5
Worked great
This product worked great for me easy application the bedding job turned out great. Zero voids. You just need to dispense a small amount before you install the mixing nozzle to be sure both sides are coming out evenly. And the same after the nozzle is install.

Quick, Easy bedding Compound
Bedded an action into an aluminum chassis. Prepped surface by grinding down areas to be bedded leaving just the areas where it already made contact, left surface rough & added some small (approx. 1/8") holes to help adhesion & strength. Cleaned surfaces well with alcohol and allowed to dry completely. Used the gun without the mixing tube (my thinking is the tube is best for large jobs as it eliminates mixing time) & mixed the compound thoroughly and applied to bedding areas. Set the prepped action in place and secured it. 12 hours later I removed the action and observed a nice bedding area. I'm looking forward to taking it out this weekend & seeing if this process has the desired result.

Not consistent
The compound is good if you can get a 50/50 mix. Those fancy tubes are nice to get in small places but are extremely wasteful. As reported here other places, if you don't get those parts out of the tube evenly, you get a mess. For me, the hardener would not even flow out of the tube so I unplugged that side and just put it out without the fancy mixing tubes and mixed it manually. Totally defeats the purpose but did a good bedding job. Like is said here also, takes a bit more time to really cure which is ok. gives it a three star instead of a two. It gives some clean-up time while still not brick hard but I hate the WASTE.
3
does not mix properly
I am only giving this a 3 because in spite of a revolutionary dispensing system, it does not always mix properly. It sure is convenient, but what I found is the first areas I dispensed the materiel in did not ever harden. What a mess to find out after waiting 24 hours and removing the barreled receiver from the stock, that nothing had hardened and all I had was brown goo everywhere. The later areas that dispenses did seem to harden OK. So beware - you might want to either just mix it manually (almost defeats the purpose) or try wasting some of the initial material when you put on a fresh tube and run some extra through the fancy mixing tube. It's a shame, this is a HUGE convenience, and I was really disappointed. It was SO easy, and then didn't work. I'll try another one wasting the first amounts to see if it mixes right, then I will go back to the old way.
