Excellent Surface Texture
This product has a no lint firm surface for ease of cleaning and for bore surface prep. Use in conjunction with a brass bore brush for even distribution of cleaning agents and lite oil. This fabric is not as soft as the cotton patch, so it takes more push with the rod to get the job done in less time.
Works well for wiping down parts
These large patches are good for applying cleaner / oil to and wiping down parts during cleaning. Because the material is tougher, you need to be careful about creating a bore obstruction out of one of these patches if it gets bunched up.
Brownell's needs smaller lot sizes.
The patches are good. The main problem remains finding the best patch for you. Many Brownell's patches only come in 1000 count. Until you come up with your best size and type, you'll probably have a 1000 or more that didn't work for you - smaller lots would make choosing the ideal type and size easier and cheaper to determine.
