The Challis Frame Repair Tap is a proprietary tap used to cut .255-60 threads in a 1911 frame for repair (oversized) bushings, when the standard threads in a frame have been stripped.

  • .255" - 60 TPI
  • No drilling required

The Challis Frame Repair Tap has a special grind that reams the hole to size prior to cutting the threads, saving the need to drill the hole to size.
