OK Cutter
First, let me say that I am a Tool Maker by trade and I would not recommend this cutter for the inexperienced. With that said, did the cutter perform the task, yes it did. I have used the Carbide and the HSS dovetail cutters and I will always recommend the carbide cutter for the ease of use and the quality of the finish of the cut. The HSS cutter required numerous passes and needed to be flooded with coolant to perform correctly. the cutting of the dovetail took an enormous amount of time with this cutter. By the time I was finished the cutter showed a lot of wear to where the cutter cannot be used again. I have been able to use the carbide cutters multiple times. Did I save money purchasing the HSS cutter over the Carbide? When you factor in the labor, frustration, and the finish of the cut, no I did not save any money. Do yourself and buy a Carbide cutter you won't regret it.
