What is the BROWNELLS - Neoprene Gun Mat, 16" L x 8" W?

Soft, flexible mat safeguards the finish on your gun during cleaning or repair. Spongy, neoprene core protects the gun from bumps and dings; nylon outer shell keeps bluing pristine and cleaning rods free of tiny particles that can embed and scar your rifling. Just the right size to hold a handgun and a cleaning rod or two, it has plenty of uses on the workbench, at the range, and in the shop. Rolls up for compact storage in your range bag, and won’t take a set. Plus, if it gets dirty, just wash with warm water and mild detergent and let dry thoroughly. SPECS: Neoprene rubber with nylon facing, black. 16Ѕ' (41.8cm) long, 8ѕ' (22.2cm) wide, 7?64' (2.7mm) thick.

Mat

Nice little mat. Used it for one AR lower build so far. Time will tell if it holds up to repeated use. Helps keep those little pins and springs from rolling away.

Does not stick to surfaces, slides aroun

This is a neoprene mat with woven fabric on both sides. Material is fairly thin and very similar to Koozie material. It does not have a rubber back so slides around fairly easily on surfaces. Overall very disappointed with the product for the price. I will find a use for it, but it won't be on my gun bench
