This product does everything that I want it to and is easy to use. Silvaloy is VERY PREDICTABLE... The picture says it all, I've used it ALL !!!

Good solder for the job
Had a client with an antique 22 stainless revolver that was in need of repair. Solder is smooth and easy to apply with combination of the appropriate flux recommend by Brownells. I used it to fill holes and cracks on a receiver to restore the appropriate pressure needed for the mainspring. The solder is strong enough I feel that it would repair a 22 firing pin if it snapped in half and you cant find the parts for it anymore. If you this type of application, I would recommend stress testing your metal first, I would it recommend doing this if there is multiple stress fractures and you have a clear one area to join the separate metals. You may need to heat treat/temper your steel afterwards, and test appropriately.

It works
I used this to attach a front sight onto a stainless steel Ruger Blackhawk. Using the Ultra Flux as recommended, it was easy enough to braze. However, it comes nowhere near color matching the stainless steel barrel. Therefore, it required a lot of time in clean-up.
