No Lathe- No Worries
The facing cutter allows precise cylinder/barrel clearance when installing a new barrel on a S&W Revolver. The 11 degree, barrel throat entry cutter, provides a longer, more tapered entry, for the bullet into the barrel. This is especially favorable for wad-cutter use. The standard entry taper is 5 degrees. I've been using these cutters for years, building PPC, and Action Pistol Revolvers. They're perfect for what they're designed to do. Do Drill cutting oil, seems to the best cutting lubrication to use for long tool life, and exceptionally smooth cuts.

so much for precision tools
wanted a forcing cone cutting tool and used these in the past with good luck. The dang hole in the handle for the 1/4" dia, extension rod is too small and had to drill out the hole in the handle to accept the 1/4" extension rod. Liked the easy to use operation after messing around with the handle to fit the extension rod.
