The SOCOM 556 RC4 serves as the full-size 5.56 suppressor, balancing sound suppression with durability and flash reduction.
The SOCOM 6 Mini4 was designed around the increasingly popular 6 ARC cartridge while remaining compatible with 5.56 platforms.
The compact SOCOM 556 Mini4 delivers reduced size and weight while now offering flash performance good enough for short-barreled rifles, something previous Mini models were not optimized to handle.
All three suppressors can be used across compatible calibers where appropriate, giving shooters additional flexibility.
Construction and Durability
Each RC4 suppressor is built entirely from Inconel, a high-temperature alloy known for maintaining strength under extreme heat.
SureFire combines additive manufacturing with precision-machined components before laser welding the assemblies together. This manufacturing approach allows engineers to optimize internal geometry while maintaining the durability expected from a hard-use suppressor.

The RC4 produces less gas to the shooter's face, reduced recoil impulse, and a flatter shooting rifle during rapid fire. These characteristics become especially apparent during extended firing strings as gas accumulates around the shooter.
For left-handed shooters in particular, the reduction in gas blowback is easy to appreciate.
Choosing the Right Muzzle Device
SureFire also explains the advantages and tradeoffs between the SF3P flash hider and the WarComp.
The WarComp offers excellent flash mitigation and improved muzzle control when shooting unsuppressed, but its ported design can increase sound at the shooter's ear when suppressed while also accelerating carbon buildup around the suppressor mount.
Shooters planning to leave a suppressor mounted most of the time will generally benefit from using the standard SF3P flash hider instead.
Nighttime Flash Performance
The final portion of the evaluation takes place after dark.
Nighttime testing demonstrates extremely low visible flash, even on short-barreled rifles. While first-round pop remains present, the RC4 maintains excellent flash suppression throughout extended firing strings.
For users employing night vision equipment or operating in low-light environments, minimizing visible signature remains one of the RC4's strongest advantages.
