What is the REDDING - T-7 Turret Press?

Redding T-7 Turret Reloading Press - Precision Meets Efficiency in Turret Form

If you're chasing both the high-precision output of a single-stage press and the speed of progressive reloading, the Redding T-7 Turret Reloading Press brings them together masterfully. A solid, American-made tool, it blends cast-iron durability with smart mechanics and finishes your reload batches with minimal fuss and maximum consistency.

Engineered Durability - Built to Survive Generations

Constructed with a cast iron frame and finished with a robust coating, the T-7 is engineered to resist flex, wear, and environmental wear. Its compound linkage design provides an impressive mechanical advantage and nearly four inches of ram travel-this means smoother operation, higher leverage, and consistent die engagement.

Efficiency Through Intelligence: The Seven-Station Turret

At the heart of the T-7 is its seven-station turret head, each accepting standard 7/8"-14 threaded dies, including competition “Z-series” sizing dies. Switching between stations is simply a handle twist-no unscrewing or re-adjusting dies. This not only saves time during complex reload setups but also preserves the precision you painstakingly dialed in. Additional turret heads can be purchased and preconfigured for different calibers or titles, allowing a quick swap-out with a single bolt pull, ensuring zero layout loss and uninterrupted reloading.

Built-In Primer Management & Mess-Free Operation

De-priming brass becomes a clean affair with the integrated spent primer catcher. Primers are funneled down through the central hollow ram into a removable tube-making cleanup quick and preventing primer debris from spreading on your bench. When paired with the optional "Smart Primer Arm", the T-7 offers a seamless seating experience, marrying safety with ergonomics in a single motion.

Why It Stands Apart - Load Quality & Workflow Speed

Reloaders consistently highlight the T-7’s blend of precision and pace. With the ability to prep large batches without swapping dies, accuracy remains on par with single-stage presses-but with dramatically reduced downtime. Shooter forums reinforce this reputation: even seasoned loaders use the T-7 as their go-to for heavy, consistent use, especially with heavy-duty cartridges. While it occupies bench space and carries weight (being nearly 23 lbs), that heft translates into a stable, immovable master tool.

One veteran handloader put it succinctly: "This press runs like butter. It's the only turret recommended for precision shooters looking to keep dies zeroed while turning batteries of rounds." It earns praise regularly for its smooth action, formidable build quality, and accurate reload production.

Designed Around Practical Reloading Use

  • Mounting: Secure with four 5/16" bolts to a solid bench. The ram is pre-lubricated and requires just periodic oiling at pivot points.
  • Shell Holders: Quickly snap in any standard shellholder at the front of the ram; a spring latch keeps it steady but easily adjustable.
  • Rotating Priming Arm: Manually flip the arm in or out of the way-its off-ram travel and primer cup options enable large or small primers without changeouts.
  • Removal & Storage: If switching cartridges or storing turret heads, the head unbolts easily; a turret “stacker” accessory is available to store preloaded heads safely.

Performance for Serious Reloaders

Competitive and hunting reloaders alike appreciate the T-7’s predictability and consistency. It offers the ability to run three or more calibers side-by-side, each with their own die set, without ever changing settings or recalibrating. The precision die indexing preserves minute adjustments and eliminates the minute errors that creep in during dies-worn operations.

The press’s raw, compact engineering makes it ideally suited for batch loading, yet refined enough for precision work-even something usually reserved for top-tier single-stage presses.

Awesome
This press is awesome. Smooth as silk and heavy duty all in one.

Redding T-7
This is one of the smoothest and consistent press I own. I love to load with it. I load 30-06 and 223/5.56 along with occasionally loading my handguns ammo.

A Very Solid Beast
This is a very solid and well built press. It seems to be as precise as a traditional single stage with the added advantage of additional die locations. I also have a Redding Big Boss II and wonder why I didn't spring for the T-7 to begin with. This may be the prefect press for load development. Once I have a load, I can switch to one of my Dillons for large quantity production or just stay with the T-7 for smaller runs (probably up to 500 rounds or so). The only possible improvement I can think of would be to add bushings to the turret head so I could use Hornady Lock-n-Load bushings and have quick change options without having to buy additional turret heads. Not a big thing but would be nice.

This thing is a Tank !
I'm a new loader, and I have a Lee BLPro. I wanted this to improve on rifle ammo. This beast looks to be precise, and feels solid in movement. It will crush concrete, if you wanted it to. I mounted it on the inline Fabrication quick mount stand, so I can move it when I need the bench for other work, or another press mounted. So far, I'm impressed..no pun intended..

Awesome press!
Great turret press, solid as a rock! Buy one, you wont be disappointed.
