What is the FORSTER - Stuck Case Remover?

FORSTER STUCK CASE REMOVER

Forster has developed this simple, inexpensive stuck case remover to work on most sizing dies. The unique design even works on stuck cases which have the decapping rod and expander ball stuck in the die. All components are hardened for long life and a washer is included to protect the top of your die.

FEATURES

  • Designed for use with Forster Sizing Dies that feature the elevated “E-Z” Out Expander Ball in the Decapping/Expander Assembly
  • May also be used with sizing dies that use ¼”-28 or 10-32 thread spindles
  • All components hardened for long life
  • Washer protects the top of your die.

Buy it before you need it...please
Very simple to use! If you full-length resize using an expander-ball, the tool allows for the removal of the decapping pin with expander easily. I do not use an expander ball, but choose to set inside neck tension with a mandrel after full-length resizing. Therefore, the only steps necessary consist of first removing the decapping pin assembly by unscrewing from the die body, place the die with stuck case vertically in a vice just tight enough to hold steady (I wrap a soft rag around the threads to protect them from the vice jaws), insert the largest tamping rod provided which will fit through the hole at the top of the die, through the case neck, and to where it contacts the case head from inside the case. A couple brisk taps on the end of the tamping rod, and out pops the stuck case! Does not ruin the inside of the die body, and no need to drill and tap the case head for mechanical removal! This represents an inexpensive, easy to use must-have tool for the serious reloader. If you reload for very long, it is not if you will experience a stuck case, but when! Buy it before you need it...you will thank yourself later!

Easy and simple
I had first bought the RCBS stuck case remover. I had a stuck 300 Savage brass in an RCBS resizing die. The RCBS model requires you to buy a T handle for the tapper which I didnt have. Im not sure why RCBS doesnt sell the kit complete...why would I have a T handle? Why would any reloader normally have a T handle? Anyway...I returned the RCBS kit and bought the Forster model which is sold as a complete kit. It probably took me 10 minutes to complete the brass removal. It was simple.
