RCBS PRECISION MIC CARTRIDGE HEADSPACE TOOL

These micrometer cartridge headspace tools will enable you to set up full length sizing dies for the precise amount of shoulder bump you wish. Precision Mic gages are initially calibrated on a once-fired case, and the micrometer will read shoulder set back variation from initial set-up. Each Precision Mic kit also includes a bullet seating depth tool for initial seater die set-up.

Higher learning started with this tool.
If you have a caliber you shoot, and multiple rifles you shoot it in, this tool is great because it gives you an ANSI reference of zero. I have never used the bullet seating depth tool function. It is a great tool for new reloader's who want to learn to set the shoulders back a certain amount when setting up your sizing die. This lengthens brass life and ensures proper chambering.

Easy to use, a MUST for the precision sh
I dabble in Long Range target shooting. I love to know what my bullet is going to do when I pull the trigger! This gauge insures the casing fits correctly in the bbl.

Excellent tool
The neck gauge for proper head space is easy to use and is the finest I have found. Now the complaint, I wish they carried it in 25-06.

Took some fiddling
The freebore tool would not work on my Savage Model 12 until I polished the extractor ramp and the back bevel on the rim of the tool itself to get rid of the oxide coating and sharp edges. Once the extractor would engage without collapsing the tool first it was spot on. So you could argue that it helped me to improve my rifle :). The micrometers are great, and I find them much easier to use than calipers and gage bushings.
