Works think it should. Already discovers several problems with a couple of boxes that were not feeding correctly.

Cartridge max guages are absolutely indespensible for any reloader. I have prevented many malfunctions since I started using these tools.

I have $400 invested in calipers and they are certainly useful. That said this device will perform many of their functions and do it very quickly. Think of this as a pistol BBL with the BBL cut off so you have only the chamber that is machined to maximum over all cartridge length. Simply insert your finished cartridge into the "chamber". Visually check primer height and look at the opposite end to ensure seated bullit does not extend past the top. In about one second you have just confrimed that your cartrige will chamber, the case length is within spec., primer is seated and over all cartridge length is correct. I can certainly do that with the calipers at each stage of the operation but that is way more time consumming!! I can check a box of 50 9mm in a few minutes. As an added bonus it is small enough to fit in the die box along with the dies.

Good accurate tool once I realized it was giving me wrong results when dropping a cartridge in and would stick. Had to file off a burr at the hole edge.
