Use Sinclair steel comparators with this
Pay attention to which side you apply the thumb screw. It makes a difference. Whether you are using the shoulder bump gauges or the bullet comparator... the opposite caliper blade should be dead center with the jaws closed! Very handy product. I recommend the Sinclair STEEL bullet comparator inserts.
Solid Value & Good Perfomance
I'm loading .223 and just getting started with measuring OAL from the ogive to the base of the cartridge. I first tried one of the hex type comparators, but I found it somewhat awkward to handle, and for the life of me I could not get consistent readings due to "wobble". I contacted Sinclair, asked their advice, and they suggested I try this product instead. I'm very pleased with it. Thanks Sinclair!
