VIHTAVUORI N550 HIGH ENERGY SMOKELESS RIFLE POWDER


A slower burning powder very well suited to a wide range of medium to large cartridges, especially with heavier bullet weights. An ideal fit for many of the 30 caliber magnums with lighter bullets, but useful across a wide range of bore sizes. Particularly well matched to heavy bullet loadings in the 6.5x55mm Swede and 30-06 Springfield cartridges.

VV-N550 and 22 GT for 80 to 90 grain bullets.
N550 has been a great choice for the 22 GT and heavy for class bullets. . .80 to 90 grains. Produces great accuracy and above average velocities in .224 high-velocity BOLT-ACTION hunting rifles for deer and hogs. Have never had any issues from VihtaVouri powders!!!

Great powder
This is being used in a 300 WSM gas gun. It works very well. I am still in the ladder testing stage to see where i end up at. So far, all is good, no pressure signs and accuracy is less than an inch at 50 yards and about a inch or so at 100 yards shooting 165 grain Gameking boat tails.

Best Powder for Compeditor or Reloader
This powder meters remarkably well and produces uniform velocities from lot to lot! Does not seem to be temperature sensitive (that is needed here in Indiana's temperature ranges). This Vihtavuori powder produce maximum velocity without high chamber pressures. Perfect for my .308 Winchester 1000 yard loads pushing a 175gr Berger VLD bullet! The only bad thing I can say about is the cost being a little more than conventional powders and often not readily available.

Best powder I have ever used.
This powder coupled with a Nosler 125 gr. Ballistic Tip bullet and fired from a Richard Franklin custom rifle chambered in .300 WSM consistently gave me superb accuracy. At slightly more than 100 yds. it impressed me with 5 shots in one hole, every time!
