Versatile Product!
I've used these Shotshell casings for many years. At present I've been loading the .45" Long Colt capsules with .180" diameter Gamo lead balls and firing them out of my Evanix Rex-P mod-carbine with the 10.23" barrel. The Rex has a .454" bore diameter but I VERY lightly score a VERY shallow ring around the outside of the capsule up near the front and near the base in a lathe using a slightly dull cutter. The material pushed out on each side of each of the grooves makes for a fit sufficient to hold the capsule in the barrel when pressed just past the freebore into the rifling. With a 3,200 psi fill, if using the P-tank/reservoir, only the first two shots will separate the capsule as it leaves the muzzle...REMOVE your forward shroud cap or your suppressor adaptor when using these unless you want to potentially ruin the part or launch the entire shroud and/or moderator, stripping your shroud screws. I've used them in the Rex Rifle as well, with it's 23.625" barrel and larger tank/reservoir and I get three properly functioning capsule-bursts with it. I've used them in the Sam Yang 909 but the 909 doesn't generate enough velocity with a stock valve, to properly open the capsule upon leaving the muzzle...another good excuse to mod your 909 valve, lol. Theyd be beastly fired from the 34" barrel of my AirForce Texan ".457"...actually .458" caliber...but number one they'd fall through the larger bore without case/capsule modifications and, number two, it's a tight grouper way on downrange with NSA's 400gr boat tailed hollow points and I don't want to risk ANY damage, even in the slightest, the the rifling of the German Lothar Walther barrel. I have, in the past fired these from a 4-5/8" Ruger Blackhawk in .45" LC and I've even done so with a special, close range "heavy-shot"/"home defense load," wherein I loaded three .310" round ballls, stacked, into each capsule. They're loose to the i.d. by approximately .068" but that only contributes to the close range "scattering." With a Blackhawk-only-hot-load and particularly with the shorter barreled variant, it's makes for a good "low-light" load where close range target acquisition is obvious but it's dark enough to render non irradiated iron sights pretty much useless. Two .36 caliber, cap & ball lead-balls, with their {.375" diameter), will fit the capsule i.d. pretty nicely. They'll hit harder and give you 12 balls per the six chambers of the cylinder, but with only two balls per shot fired you're really not increasing your "in the dark" chances by much. Anyway, I've used these things in other ways as well. They're fun to shoot but when you start "customizing" the payload of the capsule, the actual projectile, always refer to your loading manual when loading for the actual projectile weight. It's almost impossible to overload because an actual .45" LC heavy round is gonna weight more than just about anything you can load into the capsule with it's smaller diameter.

Excellent
Easy to load. Has load data in the box. They work great on snake range targets with #9 shot. Tried a few with #6 and #4 and they work great if you need a little more punch.
