What is the BARNES BULLETS - LRX 338 CAL (.338") POLYMER TIP RIFLE BULLETS?

BARNES BULLETS LONG RANGE X 338 CAL (.338") POLYMER TIPPED RIFLE BULLETS

Long-range hunting just got easier with the Long-Range X Bullet® (LRX) line. No lead, just 100% copper bullets designed after the Tipped Triple Shock™ X Bullet®. Features larger ogive and boat tail lengths to increase the B.C. values for improved long-range ballistic performance. The polymer tip starts the bullet expansion, opening the nose cavity instantly on contact, which doubles the bullet’s original diameter. Four cutting petals guarantee extensive internal damage for a clean, quick kill.

Excellent bullet
I shoot a Bergara B14 in 6.5 Creedmore and these bullets shoot great out of my gun. The accuracy is second to none. I bought multiple boxes and will be shooting them for the foreseeable future.

AMAZING!! 3401FPS
I recently loaded a box of the 145g LRX and achieved 3401FPS in my Browning 7mm Remington Magnum x-bolt. I think I have my new Elk round.

Hammer of the Gods
I'm still developing loads for my .338 Lapua, but this bullet out-shoots everything I've run through my rifle. Shooting 0.4 moa groups at 566 yards is easy. They leave nickel-sized holes in 5/8 inch mild steel plates at 700 yards. In side-by-side comparison, they shoot flatter and hit harder than SMK 250s or Berger 300 Hybrids. Though I still occasionally plink (if you can call it that with a Lapua) using cheaper bullets, I will never use anything else for serious applications in my rifle, whether that means sniping coyotes at 1500 yards, or penetrating a Hummer engine block, starting at the trailer hitch. Knowing I can hit that trailer hitch from half a mile is just icing on the cake.
