Cases for Wildcat based off of 6.8 Rem.
I needed some cases for a wildcat cartridge based off of the parent 6.8 Rem SPC case. I decided to try Starline based on excellent results from prior use of their pistol brass. The Starline 6.8 cases having small Primer pockets also was a deciding factor. Finding consistent case length and clean flash holes also saved me time with the cases only needing chamfering as case prep. I resized the Starline 6.8 Rem. cases with a full length 6mm WOA resizing die and did not lose one case to any malformations during the process. I worked up test pressure loads to find the max on the wildcat, using different bullet weights as well as different powders. The fired pressure test load cases came out as if they were originally design for the new 6mm WOA chambering, with sharp clean case shoulder angles. I had NO failures of the cases and stopped when primers started to show the normal starting signs of pressure or cases measured out with excessive web swell. Bottom line, Very consistent cases yielding excellent results. I would not hesitate to use these again for loading 6.8 Rem. OR use as a parent case for any wildcat chambering bases off of it.
