What is the LAPUA - 6.5x55mm Swedish Brass 100/Box?

Many shooters have found Lapua brass to be considerably superior in quality to most other brass available. All Lapua cases are strong and uniformly precise. Lapua cases are manufactured to be reloaded, again and again, dozens of times. The base section is hard and strong, and the dimensions remain constant and will hold primers tight in the primer pocket even after repeated reloading. The brass body section is hard and firm. It is easy to extract after firing, whether full length sizing or only neck sizing. Strict tolerances in concentricity and wall thickness are used in manufacturing. The neck and shoulder are annealed to withstand repeated reloading. Packaged in a plastic case, 100 cases per package.

Accuracy and Performance
60%
A significant number of users noted that the brass allowed for excellent accuracy, particularly in competitive shooting contexts. The ability of the cases to produce small group sizes is a recurring point of satisfaction among reviewers.
Issues with Case Quality
40%
Despite overall positive feedback, several reviews reported issues such as neck splitting and dimensional inaccuracies, with some cases falling below SAAMI minimum specifications. This uncertainty raised concerns over the potential impact on shooting performance and reliability.
Cost Consideration
30%
While many acknowledged the higher price point of Lapua brass, users balance this with the quality, suggesting that the investment is justified for those serious about performance. However, some noted that expensive does not always equate to superior quality compared to other manufacturers.
5
Top Quality
Top Quality brass, consistent weight, even case mouths.

Lapua brass
Excellent brass, very consistent, use it in a Winchester 6.5x55mm SE, no problems. Full length size on first loading then only neck size afterwards. Also use the 6.5 Creedmoor in a Ruger long range hunter doing the same, full length sizing on initial loading then neck sizing on subsequent loadings. No split necks, no loose primer pockets, no nothing. Expensive, yes, just means that you police your brass.

Lapua Wins!
First place in an NRA High Power Match doesn't come easy. After reloading numerous combinations of brass, powder, bullets and primers it was the Lapua brass which produced the smallest groups. All the better to zero in on the x-ring with.
1
Split necks
The necks started to spilt on 25% of the case just after 3 full length resizing.

Did Not Meet Expectations
Unfortunately, the few random cases that I selected from the box were .013" below SAAMI minimum spec of 2.145". I have no hope that they will achieve the minimum length after full length sizing. I sent feedback to Lapua, but I haven't heard back from them. I could simply return them, but it seems other case manufacturers don't do any better. I plan to use them for hunting, so they will probably suffice, but I may be missing out on the best accuracy my rifle is capable of because the cases are .035" shorter than 55mm.
